Padtselling Thubten Shedrupling Monastery located in Gelephu Mindfulness City (GMC) was constructed by H.E Padtselling Tulku rinpoche with support from his numerous disciples and followers as a winter residence for his monks. The monastic community spends a period of over three months every year to escape the chilly cold climate of Bumthang Padtselling Monastery. The construction spanned over a decade and now stands majestically as one of the landmarks in Gelephu Mindfulness City. Near the monastery, a sacred site of Guru Rinpoche has also been discovered and revealed.

The monastery was constructed with Rinpoche’s vision to establish a center for learning and medication of Buddhism. It is a three storied monastery designed in the style of Zangdogpelri housing Dharmayaka Buddha at the top floor, Sambhokoya Buddha at the second floor, and Nirmanakaya Buddha at the ground floor.

The monastery also has a butter lamp offering hall where hundreds and thousands of butter lamps can be offered, maker prayers and dedicate the merit to one’s loved person, to one’s deceased family member or for greater causes.
